Simple. I want more. Got a problem with that?? I was a JW elder too - and some serious shit is going down right now that you ought to be helping with. You doing anything about that? Sometimes making a difference requires more than anonymous posts on JWD. Have you written the paper? Probably not.
S4What are the common complaints about JW's? Telling their brothers what they should do, saying things like "you ought." Saying "Do more." Wanting control. Do you think these tendencies exist in many ex-JW's too? This is the first I've seen of this post, but I wouldn't help you with shit with the attitude you're giving us. I live my own life, I appreciate your concern (or selfish interests), but I can and will determine how I lead my life myself. Calm down and back off. What I have or have not done WILL NOT be a subject of your speculations sir.

..Octoberfest happens every year (at least in WA)...and then there'se 4th of July, Thanksgiving (US), Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Christmas
Show me how these are any celbration of race. I've never even heard race mentioned as a basis for these celebration. There is no "white heritage" month.

Why the harsh tone? I asked a legitamate question. I made no assertions either way.
But, I will make one point. No one has defended the viewpoints these girls are expressing. What's been defended is the "right" to these viewpoints--big difference.

Sounds to me as if she's insecure and is afraid if she does like you she'll lose you.
That's really too much speculation from one line though. You're the one who has to talk to her and figure out what she's doing and thinking. Everything here is merely speculation.
